Growing up, I always felt happiest when I could help someone. That’s why I dedicated my career working for non-profit organizations helping children and teachers, journalists and media managers, and people wanting to improve their mental health.
Moving to Winnipeg from Ukraine was a big change for me, but the kindness I found here felt like a warm embrace. I wanted to give back to the community, and joining the Children’s Hospital Foundation gave me that chance.
At the Foundation, I help share stories – the bravery of a child facing illness, the love of parents standing by their kids, and the generosity of a community that truly cares. These stories are more than just words, they’re a call to action that inspires hope and support.
Every day, I’m reminded how even the smallest gestures – like a heartfelt donation or sharing a story – can create ripples of change. It’s an honour to be part of this mission to improve children’s health and make life better for children and their families in the hospital.
