This year, HSC Winnipeg marks 150 years of serving the community, beginning with the establishment of the Winnipeg General Hospital. In 1973, the Hospital merged with Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg and The Manitoba Rehabilitation Hospital–D.A. Stewart Centre (Respiratory Hospital) and became HSC Winnipeg.
As we mark this meaningful milestone, we’re sharing our gratitude for 150 years of health care compassion, leadership, and innovation! Learn more about what that means today in this short video featuring Karmen Bridges, a nurse working at HSC Winnipeg whose family has also received care at our hospital. A big thank you to the dedicated health care staff members, like Karmen, who continue providing the best care possible for families, and to the kind and hardworking caregivers who look after both adults and kids, like Karmen’s son Kenton.
We hope you enjoy this look into the HSC campus history, as much as those who have been a part of creating it.
