There is no greater joy than being able to put a smile on children’s face, especially those who are healing and being taken care of at the hospital. As a parent of a child who suffered from a critical illness that required treatment in the ICU of children’s hospital , I understand the struggles and  distress that families and children go through. 

I’m so grateful to Children’s Hospital Foundation for this opportunity to be able to bring some joy to these children who cannot go out to celebrate Halloween.

As an employee of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, I see the critical and important need to support the Children’s Hospital on a daily basis. The Child Life Department plays a pivotal role in ensuring that kids at the hospital have the best possible experience during their stay. The departments’ dedication and commitment to creating a positive and nurturing environment for these young patients are truly awe-inspiring. I look forward to raising funds in support of the Child Life Program and bringing some fun and excitement to the patients through the Suspended Superheroes initiative. I hope to make a difference in the lives of these young patients and their families, and I am excited about the opportunity to take part!

I have been honoured to support our local Children’s Hospital through my work for years. Having a platform like the Brick to reach out to the Manitoba community and bring awareness to this important cause has been inspiring. Meeting the Children’s Champions over the years has allowed me to feed off their strength and determination to improve not only their opportunities but to aid HSC to take care of all the kids needing care. Those kids are our real heroes and this is a way for me to bring a smile to their face during difficult times that no child should have to endure. A fear of heights, yes. Love for the children who will champion our future, immense!
