Winnipeg, MB (August 8, 2024)—Today DQ® Canada’s Miracle Treat Day will continue to raise funds for kids receiving care at local children’s hospitals across the country. For the 22nd year running, net proceeds from every Blizzard® Treat sold at participating DQ® locations will be donated to local children’s hospital foundations.
Funds raised locally stay local—net proceeds from every Blizzard® Treat sold at participating DQ® locations in Manitoba will be donated to Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, one of 12 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations across Canada.
Over $2 million has been raised in Manitoba since Miracle Treat Day started, supporting the new Travis Price Children’s Heart Centre, life-saving equipment, tiny babies in the neonatal intensive care unit and so much more. Money raised this year will go towards specialized surgical equipment for the 5,000 procedures that happen at HSC Children’s every year. Buy your Blizzard® Treat and you can help make sure kids in your community continue to get the best care possible.
DQ® employees, franchisees, volunteers and stakeholders come together throughout the year to help raise funds that allow children’s hospitals to provide the best care possible. Since the partnership began in 1984, DQ® has become a top contributor to Children’s Miracle Network, with over $52 million raised to date in Canada.
“We’re so grateful for the generosity of everyone in our community on Miracle Treat Day, when the simple act of purchasing a Blizzard® Treat can make a world of difference for families,” says Stefano Grande, President and CEO of Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
“Miracle Treat Day is a special – and delicious – way to get everyone involved in giving to Manitoba only Children’s Hospital.”
