YOU CAN GIVE COLOUR, COMFORT AND CARE TO A CHILD RECEIVING TREATMENT FOR CANCER, BLOOD DISORDERS OR ORGAN TRANSPLANT.
Urgent support is needed to update and revitalize the patient rooms, treatment areas and family spaces in CK5 — the childhood cancer, blood disorders and transplant ward at HSC Children’s Hospital.
The current space is under construction and needs your help.
Your gift to the childhood cancer, blood disorders and transplants campaign will help young patients who go through some of the most challenging and complex illnesses, and spend weeks or months receiving care in hospital. Together we can reimagine and improve their care through ward renovations, upgraded bedside equipment, upgrades technology, improved infection prevention, comfortable furniture and family-friendly spaces like the kitchen, child-focused colour and imagery on walls for an age appropriate healing environment, and ongoing research into childhood cancer through Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba.
When a child is getting care here, they need the best research-informed treatments and a space that can feel like a calm, comfortable second home. Your gift will help provide colour, comfort and care for these patients — supporting the excellence and compassion of the health care teams treating them.

You can give a comforting environment to kids when they need it most.
For patients facing cancer treatment, organ transplants and other complex disorders, these updates mean more than modern amenities – they directly support healing and recovery.
These children often spend weeks to months in hospital while undergoing treatment in a dull institutional environment. But you can turn the rooms into child-friendly and family-focused spaces that will bring brightness and comfort to support their emotional and physical well-being. A healing environment that will help kids stay resilient and hopeful through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Experience what a patient room could be. Our ‘pop up’ Children’s Hospital patient room will be installed in a few public spaces over the next few months, beginning with Outlet Collection Winnipeg.
With construction already underway and patients displaced, community support to help complete the transformation as well as continue research into childhood cancer breakthroughs is urgently needed.
If funding goals are achieved, additional dollars will be allocated to the area of greatest need.
