Winnipeg, MB (December 9, 2020) – The Children’s Hospital Foundation is joining Manitoba makers and starting to sell merchandise on goodlocal.ca. Dr. Goodbear products like masks and collectable Dr. Goodbear stuffies are on sale right now, with one hundred per cent of proceeds going to help sick and injured kids in the province.
While local business owners face challenges selling their products under current health regulations, goodlocal.ca is connecting buyers and businesses. The site features all kinds of Manitoba brands from grocery stores, to candle makers, to apparel and much more.
“We started GoodLocal to make it easy for local buyers and sellers to reach each other, because we believe that a thriving community of growers, makers, and merchants is the heartbeat of any great city,” says Obby Khan, one of the founders of GoodLocal. “We’re so thrilled that you can now also pick up a few gifts that will directly support sick and injured kids in your communities too, knowing that 100% of that sale is going directly to them and we are not taking any commission on that.”
Shoppers can purchase as many items as they like and delivery within Winnipeg is just $5.00.
“We are so grateful to the many local businesses that support the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba year round and we want to be there for them now. It’s important to keep any money we might have for gifts right here in Manitoba,” says Stefano Grande, President and CEO of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. “We encourage everyone to shop local this holiday season, and really help the many talented business owners living in our province.”
Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba merchandise available includes Retro Dr. Goodbear pins, Dr. Goodbear masks, Dr. Goodbear funky socks and collectable Dr. Goodbear stuffies like the Aladdin-style and Holiday Dr. Goodbears. All revenue goes towards providing sick and injured kids in Manitoba with the best care possible.
