Meet Superhero Olivia
“I am going to change the world”, states eight year old, Olivia Szucki. “I have a passion for service projects, because I enjoy making a difference.”
The Grade 3 student has successfully completed three food drives for the Neepawa Salvation Army, made blankets for people who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and this past Christmas raised over $2,000 because she felt sad that kids had to spend their Christmas in the hospital
“I actually visited children’s a lot as a kid”, states Olivia’s Mom, Becky. “I had open heart surgery at the age of 4 in Toronto to repair a VSD. That however is not Olivia’s reason. She just has a very big giving heart. I hope this is the start of a very long string of kind acts she will perform as she grows up.”
Because of Olivia and her generous donors the following will be purchased; for the Children’s Hospital Occupational Therapy department: Nosy Cups, Fine Motor Kits, Figet Toys, Bouncer Chairs, Mobiles, Little Chalk Boards. For the Pedatric EEG department: a Toy Touch Tablet, a Musical Rhymes Book and for Speech Language Pathology Services, Assessments Kits. From one child’s donation, so many departments will benefit.
Thanks Olivia for helping kids like you!
